DO YOUR THING

Black Sheep breaks the rules—a dark roast with a rebel streak. Blending bold, full-bodied depth from dark-roasted Costa Rican beans with the bright acidity of its light-roasted counterpart, it balances rich chocolate sweetness with vibrant fruit notes. Unconventional yet smooth, it refuses to be one-dimensional. For those who stand apart, this is a dark roast that plays by its own rules. Be different. Be the Black Sheep.

BOLD & UNCONVENTIONAL

Some coffees fit neatly into categories—Black Sheep isn’t one of them. Crafted for those who defy expectations, this blend thrives in the space between light and dark, power and precision. Using only Costa Rican beans, we unite two contrasting roasts: a deep, chocolate-rich dark roast with velvety body, and a bright, lively light roast bursting with pear and pecan notes. Grown at high altitude, the same lot, roasted two ways—yet each brings something radically different to the cup. The result? A coffee that refuses to conform, balancing intensity with nuance, sweetness with sharpness. Because true strength isn’t about choosing sides—it’s about owning both.

DARE TO BE DIFFERENT

This isn’t just another dark roast. By blending Costa Rican beans roasted to opposite extremes, Black Sheep delivers boldness without sacrificing complexity. The dark roast lays a foundation of cocoa and caramelized sweetness, while the light roast weaves in layers of fruit and a crisp, wine-like acidity. It’s unapologetically rich yet unexpectedly vibrant—a coffee for those who crave depth but won’t settle for dull. Whether you’re drawn to the darkness or the light, this blend defies the either-or. Because standing apart means embracing contradiction. Bold, balanced, and defiantly unique—that’s the Black Sheep way.

How fresh is your coffee?

Our coffee is roasted fresh to order and ships within 24 hours to ensure peak flavor. For optimal taste, we recommend brewing between 4 and 21 days after the roast date—this allows the coffee to degas and fully develop. After that window, it will still taste great for several weeks (or more), especially if stored in a cool, airtight container.
