Multiple smallholder producers are to thank for bringing us this special lot. Kenya is known for cultivating coffees that pack a citrus punch and deliver a clean crisp finish, and both of those things are singing their song in this exquisite cup. Thiririka Farmer Cooperative Society has three different co-op factories – Kiganjo, Githembe, and Ndundu (the one you are drinking right now!).
Thiririka FCS is set up for success due to the location of the three factories and the incredible, hard working farmers they have on their team. In recent years, the coop has hired three agronomists that have helped create a more sustainable and productive operation. Along with the agronomists, the cooperative has started large renovations at their factories, committing to improving the quality of life and work at their washing stations.
With notes of lime, brown sugar, and blood orange, now is this coffee’s time to shine bright with the light of 1,000 disco balls. So rip it open, get to brewing, and bust a move.
