Savor a cup of Liquid Toffee Colombia, an exceptional coffee from the Ancuya municipality in Colombia’s Nariño region. Grown at elevations between 1,800 and 1,900 meters, this coffee offers a delightful balance of flavors and a creamy, smooth body.
Ancuya’s farms are irrigated by the Guáitara River, which separates the small, 37-square-kilometer town from its neighbors. While sugar cane, used to produce panela, is the primary crop in Ancuya, coffee takes second place and is only cultivated in select areas due to climate change. Historically, coffee was grown throughout the region, but today it is limited to just 15 higher-altitude townships, or veredas.
Liquid Toffee Colombia is crafted from a blend of Castillo and Colombia varieties, grown by eight dedicated producers across several of these veredas, many of whom are relatives. Azahar Coffee works closely with these farmers, who each contribute 2-5 bags of coffee, blending them into a cohesive and flavorful composition. The commitment to sustainable farming practices and the resilience of these producers shines through in this clean, creamy, and fruit-forward cup.
Enjoy the rich, sweet flavors of Liquid Toffee Colombia, with tasting notes of apricot, white grape, and caramel. We’re deeply grateful for the dedication and hard work of the farmers, who adapt to climate challenges and consistently bring us coffee with rich flavor and a clean, juicy taste that’s easy to enjoy.
