Orange Taffy Decaf Colombia undergoes an EA (Ethyl Acetate) decaffeination process, a natural method that preserves the coffee’s flavor. In this process, green coffee beans are steamed or soaked to expand them for easier caffeine extraction. The expanded beans are then soaked in EA, a naturally occurring organic compound found in many fruits and vegetables. Caffeine bonds with the EA, drawing it out of the bean. The decaffeinated beans are then removed from the solvent, rinsed thoroughly, re-dried, and bagged for transport.
