Teachers are worthy of celebrating any day, week, or month. More than a year of pandemic learning has made even clearer the critical role teachers play in sustaining and building our communities.
Did you know students of color benefit when they have access to teachers who share their identities? For example: if a Black student has one Black teacher by third grade, they are 13% more likely to graduate from high school. If that student has two Black teachers, that percentage doubles. Right now, more than 85% of Milwaukee students are young people of color. However, fewer than 30% of our city’s classroom educators are teachers of color.
To support Milwaukee teachers and students, we’ve teamed up with City Forward Collective, a local nonprofit working to recruit and retain more Black and Latino teachers. Show your love for our city’s teachers by picking up a half pound of We Love Teachers. For every half pound sold, we’ll donate $2 to the teacher-focused programs at City Forward Collective, including the Why They Teach campaign. Visit cityforwardcollective.org/teachers to learn more about these initiatives, and how they fit into City Forward Collective’s whole-city plan to increase access to high-quality schools for more Milwaukee students.
Composed of coffee from Colombia and Costa Rica, We Love Teachers Blend has delicious notes of cocoa, stone fruit, berries, and citrus. We Love Teachers Blend is composed of washed process coffees sourced from our Farm to Cup partners in Huila, Colombia and Chirripó, Costa Rica. While the medium roasted Colombian component offers the composition depth and sweetness, the light roasted Costa Rican coffee offers a citric acidity.
Purchase We Love Teachers to show your support for Milwaukee teachers and invest in efforts to recruit and retain more teachers of color.

“Great coffee and great customer service.” -N.O.
“Best coffee!” -S.P.
“Your coffee is hard to describe. It doesn’t have a gimmicky flavor, just relies on the beans and roast. I usually never drink my coffee black, but have started with these roasts.” -C.M.
