What is the life span of the product, and how long can it be in use?

• Rishi Tea has a 2-year shelf life from packaging. The tea can be consumed after this best by date safely, but may experience a loss in flavor quality of the product.

What happens when the product is no longer being used? 

• Consider donating unused tea to a local food pantry or shelter.
• Once brewed, toss the spent tea and/or sachets directly into your compost bin.
• Recycle the cardboard packaging.
• Recycle plastic packaging where plastic bags are accepted. Many local grocery stores have a bin for these. Plastic packaging can take up to 1000 years to decompose naturally. Unfortunately, they don’t break down completely but instead photo-degrade, becoming microplastics that absorb toxins and continue to pollute the environment. Rishi is currently working to find alternative packaging that upholds the quality of the product.
